Vergleich der Interaktion verschiedener Zelltypen mit modifizierten metallischen Implantatoberflaechen, Comparison of the interaction of different cell types with modified metal implant surfaces

Abstract

The use of metal implants is appropriate for a broad range of applications in bone and cartilage repair or substitution. To achieve a better interconnection between bone and implant, bioactive surfaces are needed, which specifically interact with the surrounding tissue. A promising but so far not thoroughly investigated approach is the covering of the surface by lipids. By mimicking the surface to which the cells adhere with a model membrane the artificial character of the implant is reduced and the implant recognition by the surrounding tissue minimized [1].
