Modeling the Behavior and Formability of High Mn Steel

Abstract

The plastic deformation behavior and stretch flangeability of a high Mn TWIP steel sheet sample were investigated. Uniaxial tension, disk compression and hydraulic bulge tests were conducted to characterize the flow behavior and plastic anisotropy of the material. Experimental investigations and finite element simulations of the hole expansion test were also performed. The finite element simulations were carried out using the finite element code ABAQUS with three yield criteria: von Mises, Hill 1948 and Yld2000-2d.
